Founded in 1966, Daejeon Sun Hospital, was opened as the 20-bed Sun Orthopedic Surgical Clinic and has since grown into a multi-faceted, general medical center operating four hospitals, including the original Daejeon Sun Hospital as the main hospital, plus Sun Dental Hospital, Yuseong Sun Hospital, and the Health Promotion Center. This hospital currently retains over 1,000 beds, 49 medical departments, and over 200 medical specialists. Sun hospital especially features advanced specialty in Spine & Joint, Dentistry, Gynecologic Cancer. For international patients, they have full-time coordinators fluent in English, Chinese, Russian and Mongolian and fully responsible for care of foregin patients' medical journey. The number of foregin patients visiting Sun hospital exceeded 6,000 in 2016 and is consistantly increasing every year.
