Insurance pre-authorization for care is required seven to 10 business days before the scheduled appointment. If Johns Hopkins cannot obtain preauthorization, or if Johns Hopkins is not contracted with your insurance company, Johns Hopkins will ask you to make a deposit for your treatment.
